I have been commissioned to do a portrait of a little rescued dog who was lucky enough to find adoring new owners. Good for him and good for them!!
One of my art instructors told me once that you can't paint unless you can draw. I have lived it and it is really true....it all starts with drawing. So this portrait is beginning with a small drawing and when I get to the painting I will then have the color issues to work out. I'll be working on "dailies" in between my sessions with this little fellow...but if I don't post each day, you'll know what I am working on. :)
